BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's lacrosse team (1-2) played its most complete contest of the year but fell in the final moments of a 10-8 loss to Suffolk County (3-0), 10-8.
The Fighting Owls battled back to tie the score at 8-8 with the third goal of the afternoon from
Tyler Wagoner with 10 minutes remaining. Both defenses locked down for the next five minutes before a quick two goal flurry from the Sharks' attack.
Harford had its chances in the final two minutes, but the spectacular goal keeping from Suffolk's Connor Ryan was the difference throughout the contest. Ryan made 18 saves in the win for SCCC, including five in the final two minutes.
Wagoner and
Max Mullin scored three goals apiece and
Mike Cooke added a pair of tallies in the loss.
Jacob Laubner fell to 1-2 on the year, making 11 saves.
