GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The No. 3 Harford women's lacrosse team set the school record with its 12th victory of the season on Saturday, defeating Nassau, 17-5. A dozen different Fighting Owls scored in the milestone win.
Harford scored the first seven goals of the afternoon and ran away with the road win.
Lauren Haggerty was one of five Fighting Owls to score two goals but set a career high with five assists while pulling in 14 draw controls.
Danielle Hurley tallied five points with two goals and three helpers.
Olivia Dowling set a personal best with two goals, and
Cassidy Jones and Karley Abbott also found the back of the net twice.
Megan Aro scored and dished out two assists and the Fighting Owl defense was again in charge throughout. Harford forced 13 turnovers and
Allie Storke stopped nine shots in the win.
The Fighting Owls close out the regular season on Tuesday at home against Howard at 6 p.m. A win will lock up a perfect MD JUCO regular season record and the outright conference title. Harford already clinched the top seed for the NJCAA Region XX Tournament, held on May 7-8 at Howard.
