Arnold, Md. – The Harford Women's Volleyball team continued its strong start to the season with a convincing 3-1 win over Anne Arundel Friday night.
Harford (8-1, 3-0 MD JUCO) won in dominant fashion again, winning sets one and two, 25-13 and 25-10 respectively, to take control of the match early. They dropped set three, 26-24 but rebounded with a 25-16 win in the fourth set to finish the match off and stay undefeated in conference play.
Julia Gatch had a solid match for the Fighting Owls, leading the team with nine kills.
Savannah Meyers had six kills while
Mary Snow and
Kyning Tillinghast both had four kills. Gatch, Meyers, Snow and
Hannah Roussey each had two service aces in the match to lead the team as well. Roussey led the team with 25 assists.
Harford will make the long bus ride to Cumberland, Md. on Thursday to face Allegany. It will be the Fighting Owls' ninth straight match on the road. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
