CUMBERLAND, Md- The Harford women's volleyball team made the long trip to western Maryland and came back home with a 3-0 victory over Allegany. The victory continues the outstanding start to the season as they are now 9-1 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.
The Fighting Owls came out firing in the first set with a dominating 25-13 score to start the match. While the last two sets were much closer with set scores of 25-22 and 25-23, the outcome of the match was rarely in doubt.
Jenna Hathazi led the way for Harford with 7 kills and zero errors on 16 attempts. Setter
Hannah Roussey was superb on the day as she set up all 17 of the Fighting Owls' kills and
Rebekah Hanshaw did her job well as the defensive ace tallied 17 digs on the day.
Middle hitter
Mary Snow continued to be a beast in the middle of the court as her 4 solo blocks is her second most in a match behind a 6 block performance in the five set match against CSM.
The Fighting Owls will continue to pile up the miles as they hop on a bus for Rhode Island to compete in a weekend long tournament starting on Saturday September 17th.
