Jones' 22 points leads the way for the Fighting Owls

  • The Short Story: The Harford women's basketball team again showed off their impressive strength as they dominated Anne Arundel from start to finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Fighting Owls had a season high seven different players in double-digit scoring, including all five of the starters despite none of them playing more than 20 minutes.
  • It was Adrienne Jones who ended up leading the team in scoring as she came off the bench with a hot hand from behind the arc, finishing 4-7 from three point range.
  • Danielle Durjan came remarkably close to a triple-double despite only playing 17 minutes as she finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
  • Despite the impressive numbers across the board, the only Fighting Owl with a double-double was Dahnye Redd who tallied a steady 15 points and 10 rebounds.
 
GAME NOTES:
  • In addition to her 11 points, Dominique Walker also tallied 8 steals in the game; a career high for her.
  • Joy Morton scored in double-digits for the 5th time this season and scored her most points since a breakout 24 point game against the Howard Dragons back in November.
  • Niciole Sharpe showed off impressive skills on the boards with a career high 10 rebounds.
  • Therese Gilmore also had a career high 11 rebounds in teh game along with 4 monster blocks.
  • All 12 Fighting Owls that suited up in the game were able to get on the scoreboard.
 
UP NEXT:
  • Harford will have a rematch of their toughest home game this season as they once again host ASA on Monday, January 23rd at 7 PM.
  • The Avengers are 9-4 this season and have fallen out of the national rankings since the last time these two teams faced off.
