HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • After a three week hiatus due to the winter break, the Fighting Owls showed no signs of rust as they came out firing on the back of Daisa Harris and her 11 first quarter points and 20 in the first half.
  • Dahnye Redd was an absolute monster in the paint as she set career highs with 22 points and 18 rebounds playing against a tough Panthers front court.
  • The result was rarely in doubt when the Fighting Owls jumped out to a 13-2 lead to start and never trailed in the contest.
  • Coach Seney relied heavily on his starters in this game as they combined for 72 of the team's 81 points.
  • Danielle Durjan put in a very efficient game, shooting 3-3 from the floor with two of those coming from behind the arc along with 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
  • Dominique Walker put in a typical yeoman's effort with 8 points and 11 rebounds along with a couple more blocks to continually add to her already impressive Harford career blocks record.

GAME QUOTES AND NOTES:
  • Head Coach Mike Seney: "We started really well, I wish we didn't get sloppy at certain points throughout the game, but I was ecstatic with how we came out in the fourth quarter. I had to take into account that it was a long break and the first game back we took care of business against a good team."
  • Coach Seney is now 38-0 against conference opponents ever since he took over the team in 2014.
  • Dominique Walker leads the conference in field goal percentage at 64.5%, teammate Dahnye Redd is at 3rd with 60.9%.
  • Daisa Harris leads the conference with 6.9 assists per game, is 2nd in steals per game at 5.4, and 6th in points per game at 20.2.

UP NEXT:
  • Harford will next travel to Catonsville to take on the Cardinals on Tuesday, January 10th at 5 pm.
  • The Cardinals are 6-5 on the season and are 7th in the conference at 3-3.
