  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls rode an excellent defensive effort and a 15-0 run in the middle of the game to pick up their third blowout win in as many games this season.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls were led once again by a couple of sensational sophomores as Ryan Holder scored 17 points with 10 rebounds along with four each of blocks, steals and assists.
  • The dominating Dahnye Redd had a first half double-double for the second time in three games and finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds before fouling out late in the third quarter.
  • Point guard Shawnkia McCallum continued her fine start as the floor general of the Fighting Owls with 13 points and four assists.
  • Janiece Loney replaced the injured Adrienne Jones in the starting lineup and was able to hit an early three pointer and picked up three steals along the way.
  • Tianna Swearinger scored 13 points off the bench and Shantel McCray-Cheeks added eight points and 11 rebounds in just 17 minutes of play as Harford continues to show off the incredible depth of the squad.
  • Elaija Demeza saw nine minutes of action in her first appearance of the year and scored seven points with fellow freshman Briel Palmer adding eight points to the cause.
     
UP NEXT
  • Harford will officially start their conference schedule as they host the College of Southern Maryland on Wednesday, November 15 at 5 PM.
  • The Southern Maryland Hawks are 0-2 this season after losing 75-60 against Bryant & Stratton and a 95-90 loss against Chesapeake College.
