  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls rode an excellent defensive effort to a comfortable win over Brookdale with Dahnye Redd and Ryan Holder leading the team in points and rebounds.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls came out of the gates struggling to hit their shots as the Jersey Blues held the game close after the first stanza. 
  • A fire was lit by coach Seney that got through to the team as the Fighting Owls outscored their opponents 41-4 over the next two quarters with an incredible defensive effort that included 19 steals and five blocks. 
  • Dahnye Redd picked up her second double-double in as many games played this year with 13 points and 12 rebounds while Ryan Holder continued to impress with a 17 point performance along with eight rebounds, four steals and a couple of blocks.
  • Shawnkia McCallum had a team high seven assists along with 11 points while Shantel McCray-Cheeks added 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

UP NEXT
  • Harford will return home to face Harcum College on Friday, November 10 at 5 PM for Military Appreciation Night at the APG Federal Credit Union Arena featuring color commentary by famed ESPN college basketball expert Joe Lunardi.
  • The Harcum Bears are 1-0 this season after a 92-61 victory at home over Chesapeake College.
