 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Facing a team they had lost to exactly one week prior in New York, the Fighting Owls were confident that the replay in Maryland would have a different feel to it.
  • Harford got out to a great start as Karon Green, Khalil Williams-Diggins and Isaiah Boggs all hit early jumpers to get Harford up to a 19-11 lead.
  • That is when Malik Jones caught fire, scoring 19 points over the final 12 minutes of the first half including five long range shots.
  • Ahead 53-33 at halftime, Harford was able to extend the lead as Green and Boggs attacked the basket ferociously as the pair combined to go 8-11 from the floor for 21 points.
  • Martin Kelly Jr. shook off a slow first half to score nine in the second half, but failed to score double digit points for the first time in the last eight contests. Kelly did tally a team high six assists as he continues to impress with his ability to produce points in a number of ways.
  • Jones finished with a season high 22 points while Green closed out with 20 followed by Boggs with 17 and Williams-Diggins with 13.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will travel to Baltimore City for perhaps their biggest conference game of the year on Wednesday, December 13 at 6 PM.
  • The Baltimore City Panthers are 7-5 on the year and tied for second in the conference standings at 3-1 with wins against Howard, Allegany and Southern Maryland as well as a loss at Montgomery.
