  • The Short Story: The Harford men's basketball team suffered a devastating loss to Cinderella story Prince George's as a last second shot hung on the rim for what seemed like an eternity before rolling off the side to end Harford's hopes of a conference title.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Micah Till kicked off the scoring with a driving lay-up down the left side of the lane for Harford
  • Aaron McDonald drains two three-pointers in first four minutes during 10-0 Harford run
  • Prince George began to rally with 7:02 left in the first as Kenneth Pettaway nailed a jumper from the left side of the key
  • The game remained tied at 19 for 2:18 when Harford regained the lead on a jump shot from Malik Jones
  • Prince George's answered on the subsequent play with a jump shot from Pettaway
  • Till followed up with a shot from three for Harford
  • Isaiah White extended Harford's lead to five with 3:04 to the break off of Prince George's turnover
  • Prince George's reciprocated out of a timeout with a three-pointer Mykal Johnson
  • Harford held court and took a 31-28 halftime lead into the locker room 
  • Harford sank 5-of-15 (33.3%) three-point attempts in the first, while Prince George's was just 1-10
  • Dom Keyes began the second quarter with a lay-up, jump starting an 8-2 Harford run
  • With 11:43 to go, Keyes extends Harford's lead to 10 on a lay up
  • Prince George's goes on a 11-2 run, to take a one-point lead with midway through the half
  • Jones buries a three seconds later to regain the lead for Harford
  • Out of a timeout, Mykal Johnson continues the see-saw battle with a three of his own to put Prince George's back in front
  • Harford regained the lead  with a lay-up by McDonald at 8:58
  • A technical foul by Alex Morales (7:43) sent  White to the line and he hits both freebies to extend the lead for Harford to 58-55
  • Pettaway cuts the Harford lead to three at 64-61 and 30 seconds later Johnson pulls Prince George's to within one with 3:19 to go
  • Johnson gives Prince George's a 67-66 lead with 1:36 to go off a steal by Johnson Ogunyoye
  • McDonald puts Harford back in front 68-67 on their ensuing possession
  • Out of a timeout, Ogunyoye gives Prince George's the lead with a put-back off a Johnson miss
  • The Prince George's defense would hold down the stretch
  • The Prince George's bench was a huge factor in the win, outscoring Harford's reserves 44-7, with 34 points coming in the second half
  • Prince George's Mykal Johnson and Jaylin Johnson combined for 24 points in the second half
