Several big milestones were achieved in the game as All-American Daisa Harris reached the 1,000 point plateau as well as Dominique Walker breaking the Harford record for career blocks. Box Score: Click Here HOW IT HAPPENED In a game where the result was never in question, the story line quickly became the career accomplishments that were achieved in this historic game. Sophomore forward Dominique Walker tied the Harford record for most career rebounds in program history after pulling down 21 at Chesapeake on Wednesday. It took Walker all of 30 seconds into the game to grab the record breaking rebound as she was honored for the record shortly after it was achieved. Sophomore guard Daisa Harris came into the game needing 26 points to reach 1,000 career points, and was well on her way with 19 points in the first half. Harris came out firing early in the second half and was able to get a fast break lay up from Danielle Durjan to score her 1,000 point. Coach Seney quickly called a time out to give everyone in the arena a chance to celebrate the momentous achievement. Nazje Norton made some noise at the end of the game as she scored 17 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter. GAME QUOTES AND NOTES: Head Coach Mike Seney: "We have been fortunate to have a lot of great players that have come through this program on the last few years and a few are really special. Daisa has been one of those few special ones. It was her night tonight and she relished it like she has the last two years. Truly happy for her because she is an even better person that she is a basketball player." Six Fighting Owls scored in double figures with Joy Morton and Adrienne Jones joining Harris, Walker, Durjan, and Norton. Mylia Clarke pulled down a career high 11 rebounds in the game as she continues to grow her role on the team. UP NEXT: Harford will complete their regular season schedule against Dundalk on Thursday, February 9th at 3 pm.
