HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Essex came out with some energy as they pulled down early draw controls and jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game.
  • The Fighting Owls started to click after that and the goals came in bunches as Harford scored seven goals in the last 12 minutes of the first half.
  • Harford picked up a couple more early goals in the second half and did a much better job earning draw controls and taking advantage of the added possession.
  • Nina Urban scored five goals in her first collegiate game with Courtney Poole adding two goals and two assists.
  • Sierra Donovan scored a couple of goals and tallied an assist and Julianna Butta also scored two goals for the new batch of freshmen stars.
  • Harford returns just three players from last year's team with Sierra Donovan adding two goals and an assist to her Harford career.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Erica Wright earned her first win tallying five saves on the day.

  • Harford will jump right into another conference game on Wednesday, March 15 for a 3:30 PM game against Frederick.
