HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Truman Thomas pitched five fantastic innings, racking up seven strikeouts with just two hits and one earned run due to a few wild pitches.
  • The Fighting Owls bullpen was just as good as Justin Fox pitched two perfect innings with three strikeouts along with Nick Turnbull and John Brubaker closing out the game.
  • On the offensive side, Shawn Nickles came in the game as a pinch hitter and cranked a home run to deep center field.
  • Adam Rapp added a bomb to left field later in the game as Harford easily leads the conference in home runs.
  • Peyton Sorrels continued his hot streak as he went 3-6 with 4 RBIs from the lead-off spot. Sorrels hit a triple off the wall in the bottom of the eighth inning that turned out to be a walk-off hit.
  • Toby Sponseller reached base in all five of his plate appearances with two hits and three walks.
UP NEXT:
