Late Harford comeback falls just short

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls were happy to have Dylan Bielatowicz back in the starting lineup as he scored the first two Harford goals.
  • John Perry scored early in the second quarter on Nick Esser's third assist to regain the lead for Harford.
  • After Austin Johnston scored, Susquehanna went on a 6-1 streak as Harford fell behind 8-5 after three quarters.
  • Adam Smith started the game in goal coming up with four saves in the first half before being pulled for Jacob Laubner at halftime.
  • Luigi Ascenzi scored two goals within a minute of each other to cut the Susquehanna lead to one and then goals by Kasey Davenport and Andy Stump to tie the game at 9-9 with four minutes left.
  • Susquehanna's Michael Hatala finished his hat trick with a minute and a half left to take the lead for good as Harford's last minute efforts fell short.
