  • The Short Story: The Harford softball team earned a couple of come from behind wins to move up to fourth in the Md Juco standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1
  • Cecil scored five runs in the top of the first with Harford answering with two runs back in the bottom half.
  • The Fighting Owls clawed into the lead with another four runs in the bottom of the second highlighted by a clutch two out two RBI single.
  • Cecil tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the third that Harford responded to immediately thanks to an RBI double by Alexis Valentine.
  • Valentine singled in Savannah Meyers in the fifth inning to take a 9-6 lead to help her own cause as she also struck out eight in a complete game.
  • Lindsay Bowler, Caroline Frank and Valentine all earned three hit games while Emily Wikane, Alexandra Gasior and Meyers also nabbed multi-hit games.
GAME 2 
  • The Seahawks once again scored in the top of the first that Harford answered on an Emily Wikane RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.
  • Harford got a big rally in the fourth inning capped off by an Alexis Valentine two RBI single and a two RBI double by Emily Bowler.
  • Valentine picked up another RBI in the fifth inning on a bases loaded single off of third base.
  • Samantha Koga made a couple of fantastic running catches in right field to support a great defensive effort where Harford only had one error in the doubleheader.
  • Bowler picked up the win giving up eight hits and one walk with two strikeouts.
UP NEXT 
  • Harford will have no time to rest as they host Allegany on Saturday, April 15 at 12 PM.
  • The Trojans are 11-11 on the season and are currently in sixth with a 4-8 conference record.
