  • Box Score:

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1
  • The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 7-0 lead with one run in the first and six in the top of the second including an RBI double by Emily Bowler and a two RBI single by Emily Wikane
  • Harford kept the rally going with a bases loaded hit by pitch from Julia Gatch to score Wikane as the Fighting Owls got out to a big lead.
  • Messiah responded back with 10 runs over the next three innings with four errors causing three of those runs to be unearned.
  • Down 10-7 going into the sixth inning, Harford rallied again as they loaded up the bases with no outs.
  • Caroline Frank walked to score a run and Samantha Znamiroski scored on a wild pitch followed by a Gatch RBI ground out to tie the game.
  • Messiah responded back in the bottom of the seventh as a line drive to left field proved to be a walk off winner.
GAME 2
  • The night cap had a much different feel to it as Messiah was the team to jump out early going up 6-0 after three innings.
  • Harford was able to pull one back in the top of the fourth on an RBI infield single by Savannah Meyers.
  • Messiah scored four more in the bottom half putting the Fighting Owls in danger of a mercy rule shortened game.
  • The Fighting Owls fought back in the top of the fifth as Emily Bowler doubled to score her sister Lindsay Bowler and Samantha Znamiroski to cut the Messiah lead to 11-5.
  • Once again it was errors that ultimately doomed Harford as a couple of them in the bottom of the fifth allowed Messiah to close out the game early.

  • The Raptors are 0-18 on the season and 0-12 in conference play.
