HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford's Rezon Ahmeti earned his first start of the season in his second game and found himself on the score sheet in less than five minutes when Larsen Green laid it off to him at the top of the box with his stunning strike into the top right corner of the net.
  • Sussex tied it 1-1 when a long free kick was headed in by Tom Parry after 14 minutes of play.
  • Dougie McIndoe and Antonio Savi cloned the Fighting Owls first goal as Savi passed it back to McIndoe who curled a shot into the top right corner to regain the lead for good.
  • The roles were reversed 15 minutes later when a long ball by McIndoe was hit on the first touch by Savi into the far side netting for his sixth goal of the season.
  • Ahmeti fought through a couple of Skylander players to win the ball in the middle of the pitch then played a perfect through ball to Savi whose first shot was saved then scored on the rebound for his second of the game.
  • Adam Toland scored his first collegiate goal on a nice give-and-go with McIndoe on a shot from inside the box into the bottom left corner of the net.
  • Savi completed his second hat trick in as many home games when Savi played a give-and-go with Victor Prado as Savi's first shot was saved but was able to smash home his second attempt.
  • Sussex would pull back two goals late as Harford made a slew of substitutions to close out the game.
  • The Harford back four of Henrique Castilho, Jason Stump, William Wangu and Frank Assaro were dominating in the performance and continue to show an increased ability to shut down opponents.
