Harford Blasts Prince George's, 115-38

Bel Air, Md. – Harford opened Md Juco Conference play with a bang on Tuesday night, defeating the Prince George's Owls 115-38.

The Fighting Owls' defense was all over PG early, holding the other Owls without a point for over nine minutes to start the game. On the contrary, several Fighting Owls were flirting with double-digit points while holding a 26-2 at the end of the first quarter.

Harford continued to cruise through the next 10 minutes of the game, taking a 56-10 lead in the half as Dahnye Redd and Shawkina Mulazim neared double-double territory.

Despite a better second half from PG the ladies in blue continued to dominate, passing the century mark two minutes into fourth quarter for the second time this season to put the finishing touches on the victory.

Redd earned her third straight double-double thanks to a team leading 27 points and 16 boards, including an 11-11 performance from the charity strike. Mulazim (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Jewel Porter (13 points, 10 rebounds) earned their first double-doubles of the season as well.
