Newark, N.J. – The #17 Harford Fighting Owls extended their postseason run on Friday, shutting out the Sussex County Skylanders 3-0 in the District Championship Semifinals at Rutgers-Newark.
With several players battling injury, Harford would go down to 10 with 28 remaining. To make matters worse, a controversial red card to goalkeeper
Crystal Kline left the Fighting Owls with just nine players on the field for the final seven minutes.
Despite the circumstances, Harford's remaining players powered through and were reward with the victory on the night and a trip to the finals.
