Strong Finish Helps Harford Sink Lakers, 108-54

McHenry, Md. – Harford returned to the court on Tuesday after a week-long layoff, taking down the Garrett Lakers on the road 108-54.

The Fighting Owls came out of the gate slow on both ends of the floor, struggling to make shots while allowing Garrett to attack the basket. Despite the adversity, Harford took a 38-36 lead into the half.

Harford looked more like themselves over the next 20 minutes, scoring 70 points in the final two quarters to take the life out of the Garrett crowd. Ayanna Mazyck and Janiece Loney led the late charge, burying the Lakers under their combined 48 points on 19-of-27 shooting (7-of-11 from three) to earn the Fighting Owls their 68th consecutive conference victory.

Game Notes
  • Ayanna Mazyck led all players in points (27) and steals (five), with Janiece Loney trailing slightly behind after dropping a career-high 21 points.
  • Dahnye Redd picked up her fourth straight double-double after tallying 18 points and 14 rebounds. Elaija DeMeza nearly secured her first double-double of the season, finishing with 20 points and nine boards.
