After finishing with just one loss in regular season conference play between the two programs, the Harford men's and women's basketball teams will both compete in the Md Juco Conference Tournament as the number one seeds in their respective brackets.
The tournament, set to take place at Prince George's Novak Field House, features the top eight regular season teams in the conference. The men's tournament spans from Friday, February 16 through Sunday, February 18. Women's play will kick off Thursday, February 15 and end on Sunday, February 18.
Harford's men, who finished with a 13-1 record in conference play, will take on the eight seeded Prince George's Owls on Friday, February 16 at 6 PM. The Fighting Owls took on the other Owls on February 7 in an exciting back and forth contest that ended in a 98-93 overtime win for Harford.
Awaiting the winner of the Harford's quarterfinals tilt will be a trip to Saturday's semifinals against either Baltimore City or Montgomery. A semifinal win guarantees a spot in the championship game set to take place on Sunday, February 18 and 3 PM.
The Harford women's basketball team currently sits at 20-2 on the season and finished conference play with an unblemished 11-0 record. The ladies in blue open the tournament against the number eight seed in Allegany on February 15 at 6 PM. The Fighting Owls defeated the Trojans 118-52 on January 13, a game which saw six Harford players finish in double figures.
The winner of Harford and Allegany will take on the either Cecil or Frederick in the semifinals slated for Saturday at 2 PM with a spot in Sunday's championship game on the line.
