Baltimore, Md. – The Fighting Owls women's tennis team looked strong once again on Saturday, defeating Goucher College 8-2 while falling 5-4 in an extremely close affair with St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Harford showed a ton of fight in their first match of the day against the Gophers, winning a trio of singles matches in third set tiebreakers. Rosario Bove had perhaps the most epic performance on the day, losing 6-0 in her first set only to win the second set 6-4 and securing a 10-6 tiebreaker win to complete the comeback. Both of Harford's losses came because of the third set tiebreaker.

The ladies in blue would then switch their attention to St. Mary's who would prove to be a tough test for the Fighting Owls. Maria Rey and Kyning Tillinghast picked up a win as the #1 doubles pairing but Harford would drop matches in #2 and #3 doubles, forcing them to win four singles matches to pull out their second victory of the day. Rey, Tillinghast and Bove grabbed wins in three of the first four singles matches, but St. Mary's escaped with wins in the final two solo contests to give them a 5-4 win.
