HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1
  • The Fighting Owls fell behind 2-0 early, but started to chip away in the second thanks to an RBI double by Olivia Gallimore.
  • Alexis Mack came through with a big bases loaded triple in the fifth to give Harford a 4-2 lead, with Mack later scoring on an Emily Bowler single.
  • Harford would add five more insurance runs in the seventh inning including a Mack RBI double, a Chloe Moyer RBI single and a couple of runs scoring on passed balls.
  • Alexis Valentine went the distance with a three strikeout performance to pick up her fourth win of the season.
GAME 2
  • The night cap looked like it was destined to be a pitcher's duel, with both teams being held scoreless for the first five innings.
  • Rowan-Burlington scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth to give the Barons the lead, but Erica James responded in the top of the seventh with a lead off home run to center field to tie the game.
  • The Fighting Owls would plate five runs in the first extra inning highlighted by a Chole Moyer bases loaded double to score a couple of runs.
  • That was enough of a cushion for Emily Bowler, who pitched eight phenomenal innings allowing just two unearned runs with a trio of strikeouts to get her third win of the year.
UP NEXT
