  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls handled Delaware County with ease, downing the Phantoms 22-1 in a mercy rule shortened affair.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Spencer Smith brought in Nick Rowland with a sac fly for an early 1-0 lead in favor of Harford.
  • Delaware County countered with their only run of the game in the bottom of the first to tie things at 1-1.
  • Ryan Calhoun sent a ball over the center field wall to help Harford regain the lead in the bottom of the second.
  • Spencer Smith and Joey Schwartz both homered in the bottom of the third to give the men in blue a 6-1 lead.
  • The Fighting Owls would put the game out of reach by plating 16 runs over the last three innings, highlighted by Joey Sibeto's three-run bomb to give Harford a 22-1 victory.
  • Nick Turnbull earned the win from the mound, dealing six strikeouts while allowing just three hits.
  • Both Braeden Fausnaught and Camden Cregger made their Harford debuts in relief. Fausnaught struck out two in one inning of work while Cregger sent the Phatoms down in order in the sixth.
  • At the plate, Calhoun, Sibeto and Nolan Charlton each brought in four runs on the day to lead all hitters.
