HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Knights loaded the bases in the fourth and scored four to close the gap to 5-4.
  • A two-run home run from Colin Adams and Spencer Smith's solo shot gave the Fighting Owls an 8-4 advantage through five.

  • The Knights loaded the bases again in the eighth but scored just one before being retired by Brandon Nickel.
  • Essex's sixth error of the game allowed Harford to plate another run for a 10-7 lead. A combination of Nickel and Justin Fox secured the Fighting Owls their 30th win of the season.
  • Braeden Fausnaught (3-0) earned the win in relief while Fox picked up his third save of the season.
