Washington D.C. – The Harford women's tennis team took on NCAA Division III Catholic University in one of the closest played matches Harford has seen in quite some time.
The Fighting Owls took the #1 doubles easily, but the other two doubles pairs fell in matches that were very competitive.
In the singles portion, Harford's top three all emerged victorious including a three set win by
Sofia Samra in the #3 singles spot.
The #4 and #5 singles matches were both as close as they come as
Rosario Bove won the first set in a tie breaker before falling in the second and third sets at #4.
Alicia Yeager dropped the first set at #5, but won the second to force a third set that Catholic was able to win to clinch the match.
Harford will garden state to take on Rowan College of Burlington County on Friday, April 13 at 3:30 PM.
