  • Location: Arnold, Md. - Anne Arundel Community College
  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls were unable to keep their perfect conference record going as they fell to a strong effort by the Riverhawks. Courtney Poole scored five goals to pace Harford, but the Anne Arundel depth proved too much for the Fighting Owls on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls got off to a hot start as Courtney Poole scored just 16 seconds into the contest after a Rachel Wilson draw control led to a fast break opportunity.
  • Anne Arundel scored the next two goals to take the lead, but Harford responded with a couple goals of their own as Erin Dean scored then set up Poole two minutes later to give the Fighting Owls a 3-2 lead.
  • Once again the Riverhawks answered strong, this time going on a five goal run to go up 7-3 before a Bethany Bishop free position goal stopped the bleeding.
  • Anne Arundel scored just 12 seconds later and another just 17 seconds after that to open their lead up to take a five goal margin into halftime.
  • Poole completed her hat trick right out of the gates in the second half, but five unanswered Riverhawks goals put the game out of reach for Harford.
  • Nina Urban pulled back the game a little with back-to-back goals then later set up another Poole goal followed by Gray scoring her first of the game.
  • Kelsie Davis assisted on Poole's fifth and final goal in the last minute of the game, but it was too little too late for Harford.
  • Goalkeeper Brooke Siebert made six saves in the first half and Harford won the draw control battle 16-13 with Mackenzie Wills grabbing six and Urban adding five.
