HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
  • Harford went up 3-0 in the top of the first thanks to doubles from Spencer Smith and Joey Schwartz.
  • Garrett picked up a run in back to back innings to make it 3-2, but the Fighting Owls answered with six runs of their own in the bottom of the third for a 9-2 advantage.
  • Matthew Shilling's pinch hit single down the right field line drove in Nick D'Amore from second to give Harford another run in the fourth. Jordyn Smith's double two batters later would plate Shilling to give Harford an 11-2 lead after four.
  • The Fighting Olws let their chance to end the game slip in the fifth, giving up one run while only scoring one with the bases loaded.
  • The men in blue would not make the same mistake twice, with Shilling's walk with the bases loaded bringing home Nolan Charlton for a 13-3 win in the bottom of the sixth.
  • Frankie Fraschetti picked up his second win of the season, allowing just three hits while striking out three over five innings of work.
  • Smith led all batters with his three hits while also driving in three runs, with Shilling and Schwartz adding two RBIs each to the cause.
Game 2
  • The Fighting Owls replicated their first inning performance from game one, with doubles from Lou Testa and Alex Barker highlighting a 3-0 start for the men in blue.
  • Matthew Shilling carried over his strong performance from the opening game, sending all ball over the left field wall to give Harford a 4-0 lead.
  • The Fighting Owls bats exploded in the bottom of third, driving in 11 runs off four home runs, one triple and two doubles to put Harford ahead 15-0 for the rest of the game.
  • Braeden Fausnaught (2-0) surrendered just two hits while striking out four in three innings to earn the win.
  • Nick DeCarlo and Colby Lee slammed the door on the Lakers, combining for three strikeouts while allowing no hits in two innings of relief work.
