HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1
  • Both teams received solid efforts on the mound, with Emily Bowler and Hagerstown's Cierra Beaver keeping both sides off the scoreboard through four innings.
  • The Hawks broke the deadlock in the top of the fifth with an RBI-single to make it 1-0.
  • Hagerstown would hold the Harford bats at bay through the next couple of innings while bumping their lead up to 7-0.
  • Caroline Frank's single to left in the bottom of the seventh provided Harford's lone hit of the game. An error by the shortstop allowed Bowler to reach first in the next at-bat, but Hagerstown retired the next two batters to end the game.
GAME 2
  • Another error by the Hagerstown shortstop allowed Harford a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
  • The Hawks would take the lead in the third thanks to a couple of sacrifice flies. They would follow up in the next inning with three more runs to go ahead 5-1 after four.
  • Harford scored a run in the bottom of the fifth and sixth, but Hagerstown would match it in top of the sixth and seventh to walk away with a 7-3 victory.
