HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls scored just 37 seconds as Julianna Andrus netted her second goal of the season and her first of two on the day.
  • Harford would score the first six goals of the game before Frederick was able to get one on the board after 10 minutes of play.
  • That would be the last time a ball got past Harford as Brooke Siebert went on to make a couple of saves later in the first half and Frederick didn't get a single shot off in the second half as Nina Urban made her goalkeeping debut in the latter period.
  • Siebert was pushed up to offense in the second half where she scored her first career hat trick.
  • The Fighting Owls spread their scoring around with all 12 players who played in the game scoring a goal with 10 of them scoring multiple times led by Erin Dean with four goals and an assist along with Courtney Poole adding two goals and four assists.
  • As per the usual this year, Harford's defense was outstanding with Cidney Gray and Kelsie Davis each grabbing six groundballs while forcing 24 turnovers from the Cougars.
  • Gray also led the team with seven draw controls and Harford beat the Cougars 19-10 in that category as a team.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will face a rematch of their conference rivals Howard on Tuesday April 10 as the Dragons come to Bel Air.
  • The #5 ranked Dragons are 4-1 on the year and 3-1 in the conference with their only loss coming in the 21-11 drubbing that the Fighting Owls gave them at Howard earlier in the season.
