HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls got off to another great start against the Knights, scoring three goals in the first five minutes with Erin Dean, Courtney Poole, and Bethany Bishop providing the tallies.
  • Essex was able to get a power play goal to cut the Harford lead to 3-1, but that would be the last time the Knights scored as the Fighting Owls would go on to score the next 20 goals in a row.
  • Bishop and Poole were incredible all night working together in attack as the two combined for 17 points as they regularly assisted on each other's goals.
  • Rachel Wilson, Kelsie Davis and Dean added five points each while Nina Urban chipped in another four.
  • Harford won the draw control battle 15-8 led by Wilson with seven, Urban with five and Mackenzie Wills snagging three with Wills also leading the team with five ground balls.
  • The Fighting Owl defense didn't have a ton of work to do in the game, but when they were called into action they stood up strong with the quartet of Natalie Neff, Cidney Gray, Mckenzie Cox and Kiley Hartsell combining to force eight turnovers.
  • Goalkeeper Brooke Siebert made eight saves on the day as she continues to rank in the top five in the NJCAA for saves, save percentage and goals allowed average.

UP NEXT
  • Harford will face Anne Arundel in the Region 20 Tournament Championships on Wednesday, May 2 at 6 PM in the friendly confines of the Harford Stadium.
  • The #2 ranked Riverhawks are 12-3 on the season with the two teams splitting a pair of regular season matches including the Fighting Owls' dramatic 19-18 win in Bel Air on March 27.
