Bel Air, Md. - The Fighting Owls (4-5, 1-2 Md Juco) dropped below .500 for the first time this season, losing tough matches against Montgomery (8-0, 2-0 Md Juco) and Northern Virginia (4-2).
Harford's two contests sandwiched a great match between Northern Virginia and Montgomery that was much closer than the score indicated. When the dust was settled, it would be the Raptors sweeping the Nighthawks 3-0 to remain unbeaten so far this season.

• The Fighting Owls tested Montgomery in the early stages of all three sets, but Montgomery proved to be too much on the day and would take out Harford in straight sets.
Match 2: 3-0 NOVA (21-25, 21-25, 17-25)
• Harford held leads in the first and second sets, but timeouts by the Nighthawks would flip the moment in their favor on both occasions. NOVA distanced themselves early in set 3 and never looked back, sweeping the Fighting Owls to end the tri-match.
