Rockville, Md. – Harford dropped yet another conference foe Wednesday evening, defeating the Montgomery Raptors 92-71 on the road.
The Fighting Owls have now won 72-straight games against Md Juco Conference opponents.
Harford improves to 16-1 (6-0 Md Juco) with the victory, while Montgomery drops to 9-6 (4-2 Md Juco).
Turning Point
After allowing the Raptors an early 5-3 lead, the Fighting Owls would go on a 22-0 run that set the tone for the rest of the contest. Seven Harford players scored during the stretch, led by a pair of threes from
Janiece Loney. The sophomore guard finished with a career high 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor, including a 6-of-10 mark from downtown.
On the side of the run, Montgomery were plagued by turnovers during the stretch while also missing 12 shots in a row to end the quarter.
Game Notes
- Dahnye Redd added another double-double to her collection, scoring 26 points while pulling down 15 rebounds.
- Alexus King led all Fighting Owls with six assists.
