Catonsville, Md. – The Harford women's basketball team extended their unrivaled conference win streak to 74-straight games Friday evening with a 76-56 win over the Catonsville Cardinals.
Five Fighting Owls finished with at least 10 points and five rebounds in the contest, led by
Janiece Loney's 15 points and seven boards.
Harford jumps to 18-1 (8-0 Md Juco) on the season with the victory. Catonsville falls to 9-9 (5-2 Md Juco) after the loss.
Turning Point
A slow opening 10 minutes saw the two teams combine to go 8-for-37 from the floor. The Cardinals remained stuck in their shooting slump in the second, but the Fighting Owls would turn their fortune around with an 11-of-17 performance to run ahead 37-24.
Seven Harford players scored in the quarter, including six points from both
Dahnye Redd and
Ariana Fleming.
