Redd Scores 40 as Harford Sinks Skipjacks

Bel Air, Md. –Dahnye Redd dropped a career-high 40 points Friday night, as the Fighting Owls sank Chesapeake's regular season conference title hopes with an 86-56 victory.

The Harford forward dominated the game from start to finish, knocking down 14 of her 21 shots from the floor and 11-of-13 free throws. Redd picked up her 21st double-double of the year with 12 rebounds.

The Fighting Owls now sit at 22-1 on the year with a perfect 10-0 record in conference. The Skipjacks, who came in unbeaten against conference foes, drops to 14-3 overall (9-1 Md Juco).

Turning Point
Much like Harford's game against Baltimore City on Tuesday, the Skipjacks and Fighting Owls traded baskets before Harford took a 16-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Redd would come alive in the second, scoring 14 of the Fighting Owls 23 points over the next 10 minutes to put Harford ahead comfortably heading into halftime.

After being sidelined through most of the third from an elbow to her mouth, Redd stormed back with ferocious 17 points in the game's final nine minutes to leave no doubt in the game's outcome.
