COLUMBIA, Md. – After an impressive showing last weekend in Baltimore, Harford returned to its Maryland JUCO Conference slate, sweeping the Howard Dragons on Tuesday night.
The Fighting Owls have won nine of their last 10 matches, including seven in a row. They are 6-1 against conference opponents during this stretch.
Harford improves to 10-5 (6-2 Md Juco) while Howard tumbles down to 4-9 (2-5).
How it Happened
Harford powered through the opening set, recording 11 kills to Howard's zero. The Dragons kept things close in the middle set, but the Fighting Owls held at least a small lead throughout and eventually picked up the victory, 25-20.
Errors haunted the Dragons in set three, as they matched seven kills with seven blunders. Harford was nearly flawless (13 kills, one error) and finished out the match by claiming nine of the last 11 points.
