Foote's Late Heroics Boosts Harford Past NOVA

BEL AIR, Md. – Joshua Foote's buzzer beater three gave Harford its second straight win on Saturday night, as the Fighting Owls downed the Northern Virginia Nighthawks, 73-72, inside the APGFCU Arena.

Harford sophomore David Glenn ended the night with a career high 33 points (14-for-18) and 10 rebounds to lead all players, including a 15-point showing in the second half.

The Fighting Owls improve to 2-3 on the year with the win, while NOVA's loss also puts them at 2-3.

Turning Point
Foote would feed Glenn off an inbound with 24 seconds to go, which he'd finished with his back to the basket to put the Fighting Owls within two. Glenn then picked up his fifth foul immediately after to stop the clock, forcing him out of the game.

The foul sent NOVA leading scorer Luke Jones to the line, who'd stunningly miss both free throws. An offensive rebound and timeouts by both teams left just six seconds remaining for one final shot. Harford put the ball in the hands of veteran guard Christian Sweazie off the inbound, who sprinted down the court and flipped a pass to Foote for the game winner.
