Harford Maneuvers Through Monroe

BEL AIR, Md. – The Fighting Owls ended the Women's Harford Hoops Classic in winning fashion, putting together a 73-63 victory over Northeast District rival Monroe College, Saturday night inside the APGFCU Arena.

Kelvajha Foster led the Fighting Owls with 23 points, while fellow guard Tsahai Corbie brought in 21 points points. Foster would also top the team in steals (six) while Corbie dished out a game high five assists.

Harford rockets to 6-0 after the win, while Monroe drops to 4-4.

Turning Point
FelderAfter running the opposition out of the gym in its opening four contests, Harford faced another close game for the second straight night.

The Fighting Owls' utilized their quick start as a cushion for the rest of the contest, jumping out to a 17-5 lead less than five minutes into the game. The 12-point gap ensured Harford never trailed throughout.

Demeya Felder and Kelvajha Foster carried the offensive burden to start, claiming 17 of Harford's 24 first quarter points. The Fighting Owl defensive forced Mornoe into seven costly turnovers in the opening 10 minutes.
