NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Harford triumphed over district adversary Monroe College for the second time in less than a week with a 64-49 showing, Friday night inside the Monroe Athletic Complex.
Zaria Newson had a career night to the tune of 13 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocks.
Kelvajha Foster (14 points, 16 rebounds) earned her third double-double of the year as well.
The Fighting Owls improve to 7-0 on the season, while the Mustangs tumble to 4-5.
How it Happened
Despite not posting season highs on the defensive side of the floor, Harford held Monroe to a woeful night from the field. The Mustangs made just 15-of-59 shots for the game, including a 7-for-27 mark over the final two quarters.
Monroe's 13 made free throws in the last 20 minutes kept the scoreline much close than it looked.
