PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Harford men's basketball team came up a bit short in its season opener, falling 63-57 to the Community College of Philadelphia on Tuesday evening.
Sophomore transfer
David Glenn led the Fighting Owls with 21 points, while fellow transfer
Christian Sweazie chipped in 10.
The Fighting Owls could not find their groove offensively, recording a 3-for-24 clip from three and a 33% mark from the field.
Harford dips to 0-1 on the season. CCP improves to 1-0.
Turning Point
CCP's 10-4 scoring run in the last two minutes of the contest allowed the Lions to pull away late in an otherwise back and forth affair. A couple of costly turnovers by Harford early into the stretch followed by six straight points for CCP doomed the Fighting Owls to their fate.
