BEL AIR, Md. – The Harford men's basketball team got back on track thanks to some home cooking Thursday night, taking down the University of Valley Forge JV Patriots, 121-79, inside the APGFCU Arena.
The Fighting Owls 121 points is their second highest amount scored in a single game. Harford's modern era record was set during its 2009-10 season, when the men in blue defeated Valley Forge Military, 132-71.
Redshirt freshman forward
Ethan Sommer broke out for a career high 23 points and seven rebounds. Fellow Redshirt frosh
Anthony Ifeacho also played extended minutes, landing him a season best 18 points and eight boards.
The Fighting Owls jump to 4-6 with the victory.
Turning Point
After opening up a 30-17 lead on the Patriots to start the half, Harford would double up foes and take a 61-33 into the break. 16 of Sommer's 23 came during the dominant stretch, with
David Glenn and Ifeacho combining for 19 as well.
