LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Harford guard
Kelvajha Foster scored 20 points and
Jada Lake pilled on 19, as the Fighting Owls took care of the Palm Beach State Panthers, 62-49, Saturday evening Elisabeth W. Erling Gymnasium.
Foster linked together the 20 points with a season high 17 boards for her fourth double-double of 2019. She also led all players with a half-dozen steals.
Harford improves to 9-1 with the victory, while the Panthers drop to 4-9.
Turning Point
Harford bookended the contest with a pair of strong opening and closing quarters, outscoring the tournament host 33-16. Their 17 points in the first quarter came in handy late, as they allowed Palm Beach State to tie the game at 29-29 heading into halftime.
