Sumter, S.C. – Braedon Fausnaught combined with a pair of relievers on a five-hit shutout, propelling Harford past the USC Sumter Fire Ants, 7-0, Sunday morning at Riley Park.
Fausnaught (4.2 IP, 0 ER) sat down half a dozen Fire Ants during his stint on the mound. He was relieved by
Ethan Kiple, who'd retired the next four batters on 13 pitches.
Mitch Hoon finished out the game on the mound for the Fighting Owls in the bottom of the seventh, surrendering a single before sitting down the next three batters on strikes.
Harford jumps to 3-2 with the win, while Sumter falls to 5-5.
