Georgetown, Del. – The Harford pitching staff struck out eight batters and surrendered just one hit in a decisive 11-0 victory over Delaware Tech on Wednesday afternoon.
Matt Gorman (1 IP, 0 ER) earned the win after being given the start on the bump for the Fighting Owls. He moves to 2-0 on year.
Six Fighting Owl pitchers followed him in relief, with each tallying at least one strikeout in their inning of work. Five of the six sat Delaware Tech down in order.
Harford's offense was on point early, hammering home eight runs in the first two innings. A trio of runs were added late in the seventh as well, highlighted by a two-RBI double from
Hunter Blair.
The Fighting Owls improve to 9-4 on the season and have won their last five games. Delaware Tech falls to 6-4-1.
