Hagerstown, Md. – Harford tallied eight extra base hits, including a trio of home runs, en route to a 14-5 win over the Hagerstown Hawks on Saturday.
Nolan Charlton flirted with a cycle in game two of the conference doubleheader with the Hawks. The Harford infielder doubled in the second, tripled in the third, and homered in the fifth. He drove in four runs and recorded a steal.
The Fighting Owls' pitching staff proved to be a factor as well in the win.
Marty Neal (4.1 IP, 1 ER) earned his third win of the season after striking out seven.
Mike Taylor was strong in relief, holding the Hawks hitless while striking out three in 1 2/3 innings of work.
Harford improves to 11-5 (3-1 Md Juco) after the victory.. Hagerstown falls to 12-4.
