Bel Air, Md. – Harford starter
Camden Cregger went six innings and surrendered just one run, earning his first win of the season in the Fighting Owls 5-2 defeat of the University of Connecticut Avery Point (UCAP) on Sunday.
Cregger gave up his only run of the day in the second, which gave the Pointers a 1-0 lead. He faced no more than four batters over the next three innings, then worked his way out of a jam in the sixth to finish his outing.
UCAP's lead lasted just an inning, as Harford went up 3-1 in the third after an RBI-single from
Justin Brown and a triple from
Jordyn Smith. Another two runs were added in the fifth, and the Fighting Owls held off the Pointers over the final innings to earn the victory.
Harford improves to 12-5 on the year. UCAP remains winless at 0-5.
