Hagerstown, Md. – Harford's first extra innings game of the season did not end in their favor, as they fell to Hagerstown Hawks, 9-8, in the 10
th inning of game one of Saturday's doubleheader.
The Fighting Owls led 8-7 in the seventh and had a chance to end the game, but a two-out wild pitch with the bases loaded allowed the Hawks to play on.
Harford struggled to find hits over the next three innings, putting just one runner via walk in the 8
th. Hagerstown threatened to score in all three, finally breaking through in the thanks to a costly throwing error and a walk-off RBI single.
Harford drops to 10-5 on the season with the loss. Hagerstown improves to 12-3.
