How it Happened
Some backhanded tactics were employed by the Eagles, who moved several players out of their normal spots in singles action in an attempt to claim wins. It nearly backfired, as
Paula Martinez and
Kelly Hudak nearly claimed victories in No. 3 and No. 6 singles to give Harford its first victory of the year.
After CSU claimed the doubles point,
Maria Rey and
Sofia Samra rebounded with quick wins in singles action.Rey took down CSU's No. 1 (6-1, 6-2), while Samra moved aside the Eagles' Olivia Wallace in No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-1).
