Arnold, Md. – Erica James hit a solo home run to tie the game in the second, but Anne Arundel went on to score five runs in the next four innings for a 6-1 win over Harford.
James' first long ball of the year came with two outs in the second, evening the game at 1-1. The Riverhawks took back the lead in bottom half of the inning, then lucked out on a lineout double play to get out of a bases loaded jam caused by Harford in the third.
Anne Arundel pushed through two more runs in fourth and again in the fifth to take the game. Gracie Culley (7 IP, 1 ER) silenced the Harford bats from there, surrendering one hit over the final two innings to earn the win.
Harford drops to 0-16 with the loss, while Anne Arundel improves to 2-5.
