Fighting Owls Sink Riverhawks, 26-13

Arnold, Md. – Sydney McKemy and Keeley McHugh combined to score 14 goals, as the Fighting Owls claimed its first road win of the year by moving aside the Anne Arundel Riverhawks, 26-13, Wednesday night inside Siegert Stadium.

McHugh kicked off the scoring with a goal just 18 seconds into the first, scoring five of her seven goals in the first half to give Harford a 14-7 lead at halftime. All three of her assists also came in the opening half.

McKemy netted her first goal of the day with just under six minutes left in the first, then pushed through one at the end of the half and two in beginning of the second. Her final two scores deflated any chance of an Anne Arundel comeback, allowing Harford to claim its second conference victory of the year.

Harford improves to 3-0 on the season (2-0 Md Juco). Anne Arundel starts the year at 0-1 (0-1 Md Juco).
